Information meeting for Provost Endorsement Program to be held on Jan. 29

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, in collaboration with other University entities, is hosting an informational meeting on Monday, Jan. 29, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom for those interested in having their campus, college or unit’s professional development programs become official Provost Endorsement granting programs for the 2024-25 academic year.

The meeting offers an excellent opportunity for interested parties to learn more about the program, application process and criteria for endorsement. Applications to offer a Fall 2024 Provost Endorsed program will be available at the informational session, and applications are due March 15. Coaching sessions to assist in preparing applications will be available throughout the month of February.

This Provost Endorsement Program aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of large-scale professional development opportunities for faculty across all Penn State campuses. Participation as a Provost Endorsement granting program bolsters recognition of faculty efforts in self-development. The program covers three core domains: Teaching and Outreach, Research, Scholarship and Creative Accomplishment, and Leadership and Service. Each domain is tailored to meet the diverse needs of the University’s instructor community, offering tools and recognition to excel in their respective fields.

More detailed information about the program is available in this Penn State News story.
