Penn State campuses to hold fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 15-16

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This fall, Penn State expects to award approximately 4,565 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing 142 associate, 3,288 baccalaureate, 942 master's, 10 law, 181 doctoral, one medical and one medical/graduate degrees. All figures listed are estimates as of Dec. 12; totals do not include Penn College.

Penn State locations that are holding commencement ceremonies this fall are below.

Penn State University Park

In the event that people are unable to attend commencement at University Park but would like to join in celebrating their graduate’s achievement, all in-person ceremonies will be viewable via livestream.

Friday, Dec. 15

5 p.m. — Schreyer Honors College Medals Ceremony, Freeman Auditorium, HUB-Robeson Center. Speaker: Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi.

Saturday, Dec. 16

9 a.m. — Baccalaureate and Associate Degree Ceremony, the Bryce Jordan Center

Penn State Abington

  • Ceremony: 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, Athletic Building
  • Speaker: Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (Pennsylvania-Fourth District), attorney, professor, and a former four-term member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives

  • Ceremony: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, the Arena of the Adler Athletic Complex
  • Speaker: Brian Black, distinguished professor of history and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona
